Differences between Galaxy Watch models
The biggest differences between Samsung Galaxy Watch models come down to design, operating system, health features and battery life. Older models such as the Galaxy Watch and Watch Active run on Samsung's own Tizen OS, while newer models from the Galaxy Watch4 onwards switched to Wear OS, bringing better app support and integration with Android. In terms of features, the newer watches offer more advanced health monitoring, including ECG, blood pressure and blood oxygen tracking. The design evolved from a classic watch look to a sleeker, more modern aesthetic. Battery life varies: older models can sometimes last longer (up to 3 days), whilst newer ones typically manage 1 to 2 days.
